Cyprus in 3 Days

A long weekend on the west coast: Paphos ruins, the Akamas Blue Lagoon and one slow day in the wine villages.

Three days is enough to fall for Cyprus if you resist the urge to see all of it. This route stays west, based in Paphos, so you spend your time on beaches and in villages rather than on the motorway.

Getting around: hire a car at Paphos airport. Everything below is within 45 minutes of the city.

Ημέρα 1 · Paphos

Harbour, mosaics and the Tombs of the Kings

Start early at the Tombs of the Kings before the heat, then walk the archaeological park by the harbour for the Roman mosaics of the House of Dionysos. Lunch at the harbour, an afternoon on Coral Bay, and dinner at Seven St. Georges in Yeroskipou. Book ahead.

Ημέρα 2 · Latchi & the Akamas

Boat day to the Blue Lagoon

Drive 40 minutes north to Latchi harbour and take a morning boat into the Akamas peninsula. Swim in the Blue Lagoon, then a late fish lunch back at the harbour. On the way home, stop at the Baths of Aphrodite for a short shaded walk.

Ημέρα 3 · Omodos & Petra tou Romiou

Wine villages and Aphrodite's Rock

Head inland to Omodos for a tasting at a family winery and a wander round the cobbled square. Loop back via the coast road and time your arrival at Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite's Rock) for sunset. The pebble beach faces west.
